I have spent the last 30 years working in behavioral health holding positions from a staff nurse, counselor, faculty, manager, director and administrator. I co-lead the first codependency group in Charlotte in the mid 80\'s. I developed the first Nurses Support Group in the State in 1996 as well as the first Nurses Aftercare Program in 2008. I received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the NC Foundation on Alcohol and Drug Studies as well as the Clinical Innovation award from the American Psychiatric Nurses Association. I chaired the Mecklenburg County Substance Use Disorder Task Force for four years.
