I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, a Licensed Clinical
Addictions Specialist and a Certified Clinical Supervisor. I specialize in
working with adults around a wide assortment of issues and concerns including
grief and loss, codependency, self-esteem, depression, anxiety, trauma,
addiction and other life challenges. In addition, I facilitate creative
expression group such as the Artist Way and SoulCollage. The use of creative
expression work often helps one tap into a deeper place of knowing and permits
one to express feelings and emotions that might otherwise be hard to
articulate. I have also
completed 3 years of training in Somatic Experiencing (SE) which is a
body-awareness approach to trauma. SE is based upon the work of Dr. Peter
Levine. Dr. Peter Levine realized that human beings have an innate ability to
overcome the effects of trauma. SE supports our bodies to access our body's
innate wisdom and apply it to healing and resolving the effects of trauma. In
addition, I facilitate groups for women around anger and 12 step recovery
issues. I work with families of chemically dependent individuals to facilitate
interventions or help families to begin to set healthy and appropriate
boundaries with loved ones in active addiction. Lastly, I provide clinical
supervision for those seeking licensure or certification in addiction and for
those seeking their licensure as licensed professional counselors.
